This year the Inner Wheel Club of Clay Cross has joint Presidents Barbara and Julie Marshall, mother and daughter. Julie is working and so cannot attend all Inner Wheel meetings, so when Julie is not available, Barbara will be there.

The members of Clay Cross have supported me during my three years as District Secretary and the two years as Vice Chairman, and together, the club and I are looking forward to my year as District Chairman.

Members of the club have helped me organise two fund raising events, a Flat Cap

and Ferrets night. and a Two Little Ducks, a Band and a Buffet evening as well as the

Christmas Carol Service.

My chosen Charity for the year 2008-2009 is NCH the children’s charity – Young Carers. Some carers can be as young as five years old, and they are girls and boys. We need to ensure that they receive the help and support they deserve for them to reach their full potential

I enjoy being a member of the Inner Wheel Club of Clay Cross and I look forward to meeting all members at club meetings and Charters.
